beaches & pools-time for a new towel

When my daughter was 6 months old we started swim lessons which was amazing to watch her splash around and giggle. She is now almost 2 and her teacher wants to move her out of mommy & me class into the preschool class. Although it is a huge honor to my daughter (you have to be 3 1/2 to move up) I just don't think I am ready! Sure she can swim and jumps in by herself (sometime I swear she has gills) but to swim with the "big kids" this early is terrifying!
Swimming has definitely changed our lives for sure including my new obsession with swim towels! At first I would wrap her in the infant towels but they were so thin I felt like she wasn't dry at all (I swear a paper towel could of done a better job) I searched all over stores for a nice hooded towel that would not be so long that my daughter would trip. Well I came up with nothing so I started an online search which led me toO'Deliteful on etsy. The towels were very reasonably priced and very cute.  Our towel has lasted many washes and swim lessons and still looks like the day it arrived in the mail. My favorite part about the towel is that the hood part fits my daughter nicely and it is long enough to wrap around her yet does not drag on the floor.

one toddler crisis after another

Here we go-my day in a nutshell-if anyone out there is having "one of those days" would love to hear it (hey we make each other feel a little better)

So woke up-cat spilled my glass of water in the night into CLEAN laundry...looks like that needs to be redone, sigh
toddler tantrum because she can't eat chocolate frosted donuts for breakfast-crisis over we compromised on fruit loops.  toddler tantrum #2-wants cereal in the red bowl which is the dishwasher which is currently running (I promise you she is the world's greatest she just wants to flex her muscles today)
Morning finally coming to an end and all seems peaceful-we have a friend over for a play date. All is going well they are having a great time and I decide to open a pepsi and sit for a few seconds when my daughter yells "bathroom!" I know what you are thinking-"oh no her daughter had an accident" but that is not even close. I go with my daughter to the bathroom leaving her friend in the playroom one room away. Well my daughter does her thing and here is what I return to....a toddler covered in pepsi, a couch covered in pepsi, a couch covered in pepsi, and the kicker my laptop covered in pepsi! As soon as our little toddler friend looks at me she drops the can adding a carpet now covered in pepsi. So now I am using my husbands laptop...lets just say I am not a PC and he is-why are these buttons in all the wrong place-I need my MAC!!! So ladies (and gentlemen) that is my fine day so far (its only 2) Lets hope it can only go up from here.....

bracelets & lipgloss have taken over my life

So I am not sure if this is unique to my toddler but she is bracelet obsessed! Every time she gets a chance in my jewelry box she goes to get out "her bracelets"...after loosing a few too many pieces I have decided to start building up her own collection. While searching I came across Lulu's Funky Tutu's which sells a wide variety of products. The shop has 100% feedback and is very quick to respond with any questions. Along with selling great products-the shop owner has offered to give one luck reader the bracelet shown below!

snack time made easy

So if you have a toddler in your house then you probably hear the word snack a zillion times a day! Well we tend to be out a ton and I used so many ziploc bags a day it was getting ridiculous! So I found a great reusable bag from The Greener Route. I know there are many disposable bags out there but the designs and price are hard to beat! I was so excited when I stumbled across the guitar girly bags-my daughter is a huge music fan! Another great thing about the bag is that it is super easy to clean and stays closed (nothing like spilled cheerios to ruin a nice bag) I love the material and that they come in different sizes! Here is a little about our sponsor:  "I am very big on green living. It all started when I made some napkins over a year ago because I was tired of throwing away money. I haven’t bought any paper napkins since. I have expanded into making my own environmentally safe cleaning supplies, composed my kitchen scraps and now reusable snack bags."

so cold..where did the heat wave go?

So it is another freezing day here in Ohio. Now don't get me wrong I love the "pretty" snow. You know the snow that is fluffy and white and sparkles in the sun but now I seem to be surrounded by the dirty snow that is hard and icy. On top of that my poor little one has been sick! As you know she has just started potty training and the poor thing has the worst diarrhea and does not want to wear diapers- all of this equals one messy clean up when we don't make it to the bathroom in time. I am hoping that this will be a 24 hour stomach thing and pass quickly as will the freezing weather. i can't wait for spring-I love rain boot & trench coats!
